At Just Dance, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of dance styles, each with its unique essence and technique. Ballet and Jazz, two of the prominent forms we teach, are distinctly different yet equally enriching. Ballet, originating from the Italian Renaissance courts, is the foundation for many other dance forms. It emphasizes grace, precision, and fluidity, with dancers often following a specific set of movements and postures, creating ethereal and controlled narratives on stage. On the other hand, Jazz, with its roots in African and Caribbean dance traditions, is characterized by its lively energy and rhythmic movements. Jazz dance for kids at Just Dance focuses on fostering individuality, allowing students to express themselves with freedom and flair. It incorporates a variety of movements from high kicks to smooth slides and even sharp isolations. We encourage all of our jazz students to take their age level ballet class alongside as it helps strengthen their technique , flexibility, balance and control. both dance forms offer immense benefits and skills, our Jazz classes for kids especially encourage spontaneity, creativity, and a bold approach to movement.
